New SWAM Engine Update from Audio Modeling

In the Solo Strings we’ve added new Impulse Responses, simulating the acoustic body of the instrument with remarkable realism.
As in the past, we’ve named them after Italian cities — a tribute to our roots. We’ve also improved bowing behavior, making it more controllable, with more natural attacks and realistic phasing simulation when bowing between the bridge and the fingerboard. Many of these improvements are also now available in the String Sections, delivering a more natural and engaging orchestral experience. The Solo Brass instruments have also received a significant upgrade. Dynamic response has been refined, with timbral evolution that feels more realistic as you move across dynamics. We’ve also fixed several bugs, improving overall stability. And this is just part of the work we’ve done — check out the full list of updates in our Release Notes!

Thank You for the Beta Program

To those who tested, gave feedback, or simply cheered us on…

thank you.
Even if we couldn’t reply to everyone, know this: we heard you.

And what you helped shape is now ready for the entire SWAM community.

This update is free.

Because we believe the best technology is the one that empowers musicians, not replaces them.

We’re not here to automate expression.
We’re here to amplify yours.

Let’s shape the future of music — not by stepping aside,
but by stepping up, one phrase at a time.

We talked about AI. About the acceleration of new technologies.

And about the different paths the future of music might take.

But we don’t believe this is a black-or-white choice.

Technology can do many things.

Real innovation isn’t about replacing you — it’s about giving you more control than ever before.

At Audio Modeling, we believe in a future where human creativity and musical talent remain at the center — supported, not replaced, by technology.

We believe in you, the musician.

That’s why we spent the last months doing what we do best: building tools that bring you closer to your sound.

We’ve just released a free upgrade to the SWAM engine —
with major sound engine improvements for Solo Strings, String Sections, and Solo Brass.
