This June 26, 2026, Waldorf Music upgrades the Microwave 1 Plugin, the software version of the legendary first Waldorf Music synthesizer, the Microwave 1. Version 2 provides new sound and processing features.

Version 2 provide new sound and processing features like:
- Additional voice cards (increasing original polyphony from 8 to 32 while keeping micro timing and variations).
- Multi modes like Round Robin and Random Robin.
- Polyphonic Arpeggiator for each instrument part.
- Global Arpeggiator including round robin modes.
- Creative delay effect including filter, tremolo, diffusion and pitch shifting.
- All features from v.1.3.0.

Alongside Version 2, we are also releasing a free update 1.3.0 for all Microwave 1 Plugin users. This update focuses on workflow and usability improvements, including:
- A completely redesigned preset browser with favourites, search and direct instrument part loading.
- Multi-level Undo / Redo for parameter editing.
- Simultaneous editing of multiple instrument parts.
- New presets from renowned mixer, engineer and producer Chuck Zwicky.

Microwave 1 Plugin Version 2 will be available at an introductory price of 99 EUR (including VAT) until 5 July 2026 — rising thereafter to 149 EUR (including VAT).
Existing owners of Microwave 1 Plugin can upgrade to Version 2 at an introductory price of 29 EUR (including VAT) until 5 July 2026 — rising thereafter to 49 EUR (including VAT).
