At the heart of Supreme Drums London is Sound Magic’s Supreme Drums Epic V2 Engine, a newly designed hybrid modeling drum engine supporting up to 65,536 velocity layers through MIDI 2.0 and unlimited round-robin variations for a highly natural and organic playing experience.
Its proprietary Freeform Layer V2 technology goes beyond conventional velocity-layered sampling. It takes advantage of MIDI 2.0’s high-resolution velocity data while also significantly improving realism under MIDI 1.0. For example, the snare provides 127 velocity layers even with MIDI 1.0, delivering smooth dynamics and detailed response across the full playing range.
326 GB of Source Material — Just 2.2 GB
Supreme Drums London is modeled from an original 326 GB sample set, distilled into an efficient 2.2 GB library while retaining the character and detail of the original recordings. It includes 15 complete drum kit pieces and more than 96 individual drums and cymbals, with particularly velocity-sensitive instruments such as snare, kick, hi-hat, and ride receiving extensive velocity-layer treatment.
Physical Modeling and Sound Shaping
The modeling-based architecture provides extensive sound customization. Users can adjust drumhead and shell materials, drum diameter and depth, tuning, head tension, and resonance, providing the flexibility to create unique drum sounds for different musical styles.
The Fusion Effect System V2 combines EQ, compression, and transient shaping in a streamlined interface, offering fast musical results while retaining detailed controls for advanced users.
Designed for Modern Production
Supreme Drums London is fully optimized for electronic drum kits, providing responsive and expressive playability. Its expandable design also allows integration with additional Supreme Drums content, expanding the available drum types and sonic possibilities.
